Maxxus Wet Room Kits

Maxxus Wet Room Kits

What is the Maxxus shower tray made of?

The Maxxus wet floor former is made of GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic), which is incredibly strong and allows you to install over joists that are 400mm without any under-boarding, noggins may need to be used if a part of the Maxxus wetroom kit over hangs the joists.

Why is this wet room former so much more expensive that other wetroom formers?

Maxxus wet room kits tend to be more expensive primarily because of what they are made of and secondly because they can be installed in under 1.5 hours, this saves considerably on installation costs and material costs as they do not need to be under-boarded.

Can I use any wetroom drain with the Maxxus wet floor former?

No, the Maxxus has been specifically designed to be utilised with only the Purus Minimax wetroom drain, which features NOOD technology to stop any foul smells coming back up the wetroom drain.

How long does the Maxxus wetroom tray take to install?

Installation time is super quick, usually this wetroom kit can be fully installed within 1-1.5 hours. Utilising the new 2 part minimax drain, you place the bottom half of the drain in place within the joist area, place and secure the wetroom deck over the drain, connect in the top part of the drain which is screwed to the deck and there you have it ready for the wetroom tanking to take place. For simple flush wetrooms we recommend removing the floor boards so that there is no step up to the Maxxus wet room kit.
